Spice Girls stage musical in the works: Mel B

London (ANI): Singer Melanie Brown has said that a stage musical by Spice Girls is long overdue. "It should have happened a long time ago!" The Mirror quoted her as saying in a break from filming her new US reality show in Hollywood.

The singer is particularly excited to have the producer of the musical 'Mamma Mia!", which was based on the group Abba"s hit songs from the 90s. "Everything is a big discussion right now, but we're definitely going to be doing a musical with Julie Craymer," she said

"It's the early creative parts of it, so we're just sitting down with her telling each of our individual stories, which are different but kind of the same." The brainstorming sessions have already begun and the wheels have been set in motion, according to her. "We're on board creatively from the get go. It's going to take a while to get everything exactly how we want it but it's a work in progress," she added.
