Karthi is ready for an acid test. With three back-to-back failures, he is desperate for a success. The actor is returning with his much-hyped film Biriyani (Biryani) directed by none other than Venkat Prabhu.

Biriyani has been creating positive vibes from the day one. Be it the posters of the film or trailers, the flick had created a lot of curiosity in the minds of the audience. Karthi and Hansika Motwani starrer film features Premji Amaren, Ramki, Mandy Takhar, Nassar, Prem, Jayaprakash, Subbu Panchu, Uma Riyaz Khan, Sangeetha Gopal, Sampath Raj, Shanmugasundaram, Tharika, Leena Maria Paul, Madhumita, Nithin Sathya and others in the cast.

The interesting part of the cast is that a host of Venkat Prabhu's friends have done guest appearances in Biriyani. Aravind Akash, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mahat Raghavendra, Vaibhav Reddy, Vijay Vasanth and others are in the cameos. The film has Yuvan Shankar Raja music and three songs have become chartbusters. And Sakthi Saravan has handled the camera and Praveen KL-NB Srikanth have done the editing for the film.
