As expected, the superstar, the legend, the Thalaivaa as he is better known by his fans has come back to the world of cinema with a film that's literally larger than life! The much-awaited first look teaser of his most-hyped Tamil movie Kochadaiyaan has been unleashed on the internet. The 1.14 minute video has been watched by 1.5 lakh viewers on YouTube within a couple of hours after its release.

The teaser of the film Kochadaiyaan takes you on a visual ride like no other - one that puts Rajinikanth in a whole new avatar! Directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, Kochadaiyaan is India's first performance capture photorealistic film! The film also stars the gorgeous Deepika Padukone. Its music will be released in October 2013.

The video of Kochadaiyaan does not offer much hint in terms of its story. KS Ravikumar, who has penned the script of the film along with Soundarya, says that the title of the movie is partly inspired by the name of the Pandya Dynasty King Kochadaiyan Ranadhiran and its plot would be a fictional account with small references to Indian history.
