His clever political character in Martin Parakkat's ABCD caught the interest of many moviegoers in the industry.  It was one of the finest performances of the actor on-screen as a politician. Apart from this he also played a lead in Tom Emmatty's campus political thriller drama 'Oru Mexican Aparatha' in 2017. The film hit the theaters and collected Rs 21 crore at the domestic box office.
