Biography

Biju Menon is a Malayalam film actor. He appears mostly in supporting roles, but has acted as a hero and villain. He is noted for his performance in films such as Meghamalhar, Madhuranombarakaatu, Shivam, Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu and Mannar Mathai Speaking. Personal Life He is married to actor Samyukta Varma in 2002 and they have a son named Daksh Dharmik. Career Life Biju Menon made his first debut with Puthran in 1994.  He acted in many TV serials before he  entered to the film industry. In 1999, he appeared in the film 'Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu', is directed by Rajeev Kumar. The film was super-hit and the actor received critical acclaim for his role as Uthaman. During the second half of nineties, he was considered to be the superstar in making. But most of the films with Biju Menon as a hero failed at the box office though his roles as a second hero were very popular. He acted with Suresh Gopi in a number of super-hit movies like Pathram, F. I. R., and Chinthamani Kolakkase. In 1999, he  acted in the film Azhakiya Ravan directed Kamal. The film was one of the super-hit film in Malayalam cinema. Later, he  followed myriad roles in his way and he showcased his astonishing skills in acting. Then he acted like a unrequited lover in the films like Kudamattam (1997), Kaliyattam (1997), Pranayavarnangal (1998), Innalekalillathe (1997) Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu (1997) .Though the 90s and early 2000s, he became popular among audiences. He is considered to be one of the favourite actors of director Lal Jose, as he has appeared in the majority of movies directed by him, which includes Oru Maravathoor Kanavu, Chandranudikkunna Dikkil, Randaam Bhaavam, Rasikan, Chanthupottu, Pattalam, and Mulla. In 1997, he won the Kerala State Award for the Second Best Actor for his role as Akhilachandran in Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu. He also acts as an antagonist in Tamil films as well and has been successful in films like Majaa and Thambi. In 2010, he played a villain role with comic shadow in the film Marykkundoru Kunjadu. After that, he appeared in the same role in the film such as Vellimoonga, Romans, Kunjiramayanam, Madhura Naranga, Anarkali, Salt Mango Tree, Marubhoomiyile Aana and Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu. He then acted in the film Ayyappanum Koshiyum directed and written by Sachy in 2020.  The film is break out for Biju Menon, his character who is a passive rebellion. The film was super-hit in box office. Awards & Recognition The actor who won several awards and nominations for his surprising acting skills.
