Anita Udeep finished her 3-year Masters course in Filmmaking at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, USA (1999-2002). While she was doing her course, she was selected to work at Dreamworks, a Steven Spielberg company on his sci-fi series ‘Taken’.
Anita wrote and directed the Indian English feature film “”Knock Knock, I’m looking to Marry!” (Released in Dec 2003). She also wrote and directed the animation feature film “Gulliver’s Travel” (Released in May 2006), which was short-listed in the Best Animation Feature Film Category-Oscars 2006.
Anita won the Bharath Kalachar Scholarship for Classical Bharatanatyam and also a state level award for singing. She is currently singing for Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films, the most popular number till date being ‘Azhagiya Asura’ a Tamil song from the film ‘Whistle’. She also released a Tamil pop music album called ‘Mugangal’.
