Anne-Sophie Biography

Anne-Sophie Dutoit defines teen "wunderkind". She wrote her first full-length feature film screenplay and directed her first short film at age 15. Multi-talented, she is at ease in all aspects of filmmaking: writing, directing, acting and producing her own projects. Born in Santa Monica, California and raised in Canada, she is pursuing her passion at an early age, intent on making movies that matter, while also getting involved in new media content production for the Web and cell phones. "Marked", her first short film, was shot on the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot in the famous "Little Europe" set while attending the NYFA. It\\\'s been in the Official Selection of numerous film festivals and won awards worldwide. She would love to be a role model for other teens to pursue their dreams and have a positive impact on the world.

In the second short film she directed, "Kara\\\'s File", she is also co-staring with teen sensation John Patrick Amedori ("The Butterfly Effect", "Stick It"). This film was shot by renowned Italian cinematographer Massimiliano Trevis. She also wrapped production on a documentary about cell phone use among teens in California for the YoungCuts film festival in Canada and a pilot for a convergence TV show for the US and Chinese markets.

She is presently in production of her first full-length feature film, "Faded Memories", that\\\'s set for a 2008 international release.

She formed a production company in Santa Monica, California -- Anne-Sophie Films, LLC - an entity that handles her numerous film, TV and new media projects in development.

In March 2007, at age 16 she became a life member and youngest inductee of the prestigious Academy of Media, Recording, Interactive, Television & Stage Arts in the UK (equivalent to Academy Awards membership).
