Biography

Arun Sagar has been recognized as a leading art director & actor in the Kannada industry for the past 16 years. Arun Sagar's first movie was Bhoomi Geetha (as an art director) which won the National award for the best environmental film (1997). Arun Sagar also worked with many great directors from the Telugu film industry like Poori Jaganath, Meher Ramesh, Veerashankar, and K.Raghavendra Rao. K. Raghavendra Rao's movie Shri Manjunathaa was made both in Kannada and Telugu starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, Arjun sarja, and Soundrya. For this movie, Arun Sagar received the Karnataka state award given for Best Art Direction (2001-02).  To date, he was worked on 52 movies with popular actors and directors of Kannada, like Ravichandran, Vishnuvardhan, Sudeep, Puneeth Rajkumar, and Ganesh. Arun Sagar worked as a designer, actor, and executor for numerous Indian and foreign plays and also got the opportunity to work with great theater personalities like Girish Karnad and Late B.V. Karanth, foreign directors like vastly, Frites Benavidez and Christo. He traveled to Europe and America as a designer and actor along with the great theater repertory "RANGAYANA" Mysore. Arun Sagar has been continuously working for television channels like Zee Kannada, Suvarna, Kasthuri, E TV Kannada, and Udaya. He also worked for Ads, Interiors, and Creative conceptual events. Arun Sagar has designed things for an innovative film city which is at Bidadi near Bangalore. Arun Sagar worked for numerous films in Kannada as an art director. Major films are Bhoomi Geetha, O Nanna Nalle, Prithsod Tappa, Shri Manjunatha, Akash, Rishi, Just MatMatalli, and Kempegowda. Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 Arun Sagar participating in the Kannada reality show Bigg Boss season 9. He enter the house as the First contestant on September 24th, 2022 hosted by Baadshah Kiccha Sudeep.
