Bala is a renowned Indian actor primarily recognized for his work in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries. He began his career in Telugu cinema before transitioning to Tamil films. Personal Life
Bala, originally known as Bala Kumar, was born in Chennai and is the son of the late Director and Producer, Dr. Jayakumar. He has a brother, who is also a director in the Tamil film industry. Bala was previously married to playback singer Amrutha Suresh; the couple tied the knot in 2010 but separated in 2019. They have a daughter named Avanthika. After two years of separation, Bala married Elizabeth Udayan in 2021.

Career Life
Bala began his acting journey in the 2002 Telugu film 2 Much, where he showcased his talent from the outset. His foray into Tamil cinema followed in 2003 with Anbu, but it was in the realm of Malayalam cinema that he truly established himself. His debut in Malayalam came with Kalabham in 2006, a film that paved the way for more significant and impactful roles.

His breakout performance arrived with Puthiyamukham, where he delivered a compelling portrayal that captivated both critics and audiences, solidifying his status as a notable actor within the industry. This role was pivotal in demonstrating his range and ability to embody complex characters. Bala's talent for supporting roles was further highlighted in Ennu Ninte Moideen, where he played the brother of actress Parvathy Thiruvothu.
