Bharath Biography

Bharath Srinivasan is a Tamil actor who was born on 21st July 1983 in "Trichi". He was born in a middle-class family. He later moved to Chennai when he was one month old since his dad got a job there. Bharath did his schooling from DAV. His mother tongue is Tamil.

A trained dancer by profession (joined Swingers International Dance club when he was 11 years old), his luck brought him into movies. He entered into the film industry when he was doing his graduation in the "New college" in Chennai.


He debuted in the movie Boys directed by S. Shankar. The film was a musical hit and it fared well at the box office. He then acted in the remake of the Malayalam film 4 the people, which was a musical hit and a blockbuster in Kerala and later it was dubbed into Tamil as 4 Students. His next was Kaadhal directed by Balaji Sakthivel and produced by Shankar, which was a blockbuster of the year.

Kaadhal was well received everywhere and his performance as the naive but sweet lover was highly praised. His film Pattiyal brought him an even more great recognition for playing a dumb and deaf lover. Chellame was another hit movie which he acted with Vishal. February 14 was released in the same year with Em Magan, which was a family drama directed by Thirumurugan that reached the family audiences well and his next releases were Chennai Kadhal and Veyil, which released on December 8, 2006.

He has received great accolades for Veyil and the film was declared as a hit. He was also a part of Mani Ratnam's stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai. Then his Pazhani with director Perarasu, Muniyandi Vilangial Moonramandu and Nepali directed by Dhurai were released. All three did an average business at the box office. Through Pazhani, Bharath took an avatar of an action hero and he reached the masses.

In 2008, he joined with commercial director Hari for 'seval' movie that didn't do well at the box office. Then in 2009, he appeared in Arumugam, which was directed by Suresh Krishna and that was a disaster at the box office. After Arumugam, Bharath came with Kanden Kaadhalai alongside Tammanah, which was a remake of the Hindi movie Jab We Met. The movie was distributed by Sun pictures and by their aggressive promotions, it did better at the box office.

Thambikku Indha Ooru movie was released in 2010 and didn't do well.

Bharath was signed on to play the lead role in mid 2010 for 555 and in interviews since signing the project, he had expressed how important the film will be to his career. The shoot of the film began in June 2011. Bharath also sported six-packs for the film.

The actor bid goodbye to bachelor life and got married to his childhood friend Dr Jeshly on September 9, 2013, in Chennai.
