Chandan Shetty, also known as "Kannada Rapper Chandan Shetty," is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer, lyricist, and singer who mainly composes music in the Kannada language. He started his career as a lyricist and assistant music director with the movie Alemari, under music director Arjun Janya. Then he worked for Varadanayaka, Power, Chakravyuha, and Bhajarangi.
Personal life and career
He was born in Shanthigrama, Hassan district. His father, Paramesh is a businessman, and his mother, Prema is a housewife. He did his schooling at the Rotary School in Sakleshpur. He completed his PUC at St. Philomena in Commerce at Puttur, Karnataka. He finished his bachelor's degree at Vidya Vikas in BBM, Mysore. After completing his higher education studies, he worked in a call center for a year.
He later entered the industry in 2012 as a lyricist and assistant music director for the Alemari film under music director Arjun Janya. His guru was Arjun Janya. His life's turning point was when he met Chiranjeevi Sarja, who introduced him to Arjun Janya. His upcoming four movies are Ganchali, Seizer, Anjaniputra, and Vichitra Prema Kathe. In 2017, he is making his acting debut in the movie Vichitra Prema Kathe.
Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5
Chandan Shetty has won season five of Bigg Boss Kannada. This season featured five finalists. Diwakar, Jayaram Karthik, Niveditha, and Shruti Prakash were the other four finalists in the house.
However, Chandan managed to defeat Diwakar and win the prize money. Chandan was one of the strongest contestants on the show. His music was appreciated by all the viewers.
