Chandler Canterbury Biography

Chandler Canterbury is one of the brightest and intriguing young actors to emerge in the recent years. He resides full time in Houston, Texas, with his family.

Chandler was seen starring in Summit Entertainment's thriller Knowing for director Alex Proyas (I, Robot), alongside Nicolas Cage and Rose Byrne. Chandler played Caleb, an elementary school student who finds a mysterious cryptic message from his school's time capsule that he suspects might mean something.

Chandler was seen in the Paramount/Warner Bros film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for director David Fincher (Fight Club and Seven), starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. Adapted from the 1920s short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man (Pitt) who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. Chandler plays "Benjamin Button" at the age of 8, who has the dementia of an old man.

He also was a part of the psychological thriller After Life, opposite Liam Neeson and Christina Ricci.

He starred in Universal's Repossession Mambo opposite Jude Law and Forest Whitaker, and also on Timothy Linh Bui's Powder Blue opposite Jessica Biel, Forest Whitaker, and Ray Liotta.

Chandler won the 2008 Young Artist Award for his chilling special guest star performance on the CBS hit series "Criminal Minds."

Chandler broke out into the entertainment industry by booking a role in the feature film Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach starring Seann William Scott and Randy Quaid, directed by Danny Leiner (Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle). In addition to acting, Chandler enjoys fencing, basketball, and baseball.
