Dipannita Sharma is a model and an actress. She came into the limelight after making it to the final five of the Miss India 1998 contest. She was also judged as the winner of Miss Photogenic in the same contest. She has also done a couple of television shows starting with Life Nahi Hai Laddoo. She made her film debut with 16 December (2002).
In 2005, Sharma was reported to be dating Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan. A year later, news surfaced that the couple had broken up. Bachchan is now married to Aishwarya Rai.
