Govind Vasantha

Govind Vasantha, is an Indian composer, singer, and violinist primarily known for his contributions to Malayalam and Tamil cinema. He is a founding member of the band Thaikkudam Bridge, where he serves as a vocalist and violinist. He is famous for his movies like 96, Uriyadi 2, Blue Star and Meiyazhagan.

Personal Life:

Born into a musical family in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, Kerala, Govind's early exposure to music came from his uncle, Gopinathan, a Carnatic musician. To challenge societal conventions and promote equality, he changed his surname from Menon to Vasantha, after his mother's name. His father, Peethambaran, joined Thaikkudam Bridge as a performer after retiring from government service in 2012.

Govind debuted in 2012, composing the background score for Asuravithu. He gained attention with projects like North 24 Kaatham (2013), 96 (2018), and Seethakaathi (2018). His work spans multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, with notable films such as Jaanu (2020), Gargi (2022), and the web series Sweet Kaaram Coffee (2023).
