Kani also known as Karthika Agathiyan, is an Indian actress and television personality who primarily works in the Tamil entertainment industry. She is best known for winning the popular cooking reality show Cooku with Comali Season 2, where her calm nature and culinary skills won the hearts of viewers.
Career
Kani began her television journey as the host of Sol Vilaiyattu (2008–2011). Her major breakthrough came with Cooku with Comali Season 2, where she emerged as the winner in 2021. Following her television success, she transitioned into acting with the thriller web series Parachute, directed by Rasu Ranjith, in which she played the lead role alongside Krishna and Kishore. She will also be seen in the upcoming Tamil film Valli Mayil, co-starring Vijay Antony.
Personal Life
Kani is the eldest daughter of renowned filmmaker Agathiyan. In 2009, she married director Thiru, and the couple is blessed with two daughters. Known for her grounded personality and intelligence, Kani has carved a unique space for herself in both television and digital platforms.
