Lakshmi Menon Biography

Lakshmi Menon is a popular actress and model in Indian Cinema, who is better known for her works in the Tamil and Malayalam Film industries. She started her acting in Malayalam cinema with Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya and gained much popularity with her performance in Tamil movies like Sundara Pandian and Kumki. 

Born to Dubai-based artist Ramakrishnan and dance teacher Usha Menon in Kochi, Kerala. After completing her school education in Kochi, Lakshmi earned a bachelor's degree from Scared Heart College, under Mahatma Gandhi University. 

She started her career as a model, appearing in many TV advertisements including that of Fair and Lovely and Josco Jeweller. Later, she made her acting debut in Malayalam cinema with 'Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya'. The film was directed by Vinayan, hit the theaters in 2011, and tanked at the box office. Her second debut movie named 'Ideal Couple' is also a box-office failure. She then appeared in a significant role in the movie 'Avatharam' which was a hit at the box office. In the movie, Lakshmi shared screen space with actor Dileep. 

As an actress, Lakshmi Menon gained much popularity after her successful debut in Tamil cinema with 'Sundarapandian'. She impressed the audience's attention with her stellar performance in the movie along with Tamil actor Sasikumar.  Soon after, she played the lead along with Vikram Prabhu in the movie 'Kumki'. For her stupendous performance in the movie, Lakshmi Menon received critical appreciation from audiences and critics alike. She then acted in the movie  'Kutti Puli' in 2013. It marked the second collaboration of the actress with Sasikumar after 'Sundarapandian'. Lakshmi who portrays Palani Ammal in the movie 'Komban' was a hit at the box office. Apart from this, Lakshmi played a lead role in Ajith's 'Vedalam'. Her other notable performances include Miruthan, Rekka, and Pulikkuthi Pandi.
