Lakshmi Ramakrishnan

Lakshmi Ramakrishnan is a talented Indian actress, director, and television personality known for her impactful supporting roles in Tamil cinema and her work in Malayalam films. She made her acting debut with the Malayalam film Chakkara Muthu, and has since become a familiar face in South Indian cinema, especially in character-driven roles.

Before entering the film industry, Lakshmi successfully ran an event management business in Muscat, Oman. Upon returning to India, she transitioned into films, thanks to a supporting role offered by director A. K. Lohithadas. Her first Tamil film was Pirivom Santhippom, directed by Karu Pazhaniappan, where she portrayed the role of Sneha’s mother. This marked the beginning of a steady stream of powerful supporting performances.

One of her most acclaimed roles came in Mysskin's Yuddham Sei, where she played a grieving and vengeful mother a performance that stood out for its emotional depth. Demonstrating her commitment to the craft, she even tonsured her head for this "once-in-a-lifetime" role.

In addition to films, Lakshmi has made a strong mark in television. She appeared in the popular Tamil serial Aval on STAR Vijay and became a household name as the host of the reality-based talk show Solvathellam Unmai on Zee Tamil, anchoring over 1500 episodes. She has also featured in more than 25 television commercials, further showcasing her versatility and screen presence.
