Pooja Gandhi comes from an orthodox Punjabi family. She completed her studied in New Delhi. Her father's name is Pawan Gandhi and he is a businessman. Her mother Jyothi Gandhi is a housewife. Pooja Gandhi has two younger sisters, Radhika Gandhi, who is also working in Kannada films, and Suhani Gandhi, a tennis player.
In her school days, Pooja wanted to pursue modelling and acting in films. She was keen on joining films and trying her luck in the film industry. For Pooja, the most important thing was that she believed in herself.
Career
Pooja Gandhi made her debut in the Bengali movie Tomake Salam, which released in 2003. She entered the Kannada film industry through Mungaru Male and became a big star in the Kannada film industry. Pooja popularly came to be known as the Mungaru Male Hudugi or the Mungaru Male girl.
