Rajesh

Rajesh was born in 1949 to Williams Nattar and Lily Grace Mankondar in Mannargudi, located in Tiruvarur district, Rajesh hailed from a family rooted in Anaikkadu in the Thanjavur district. He pursued his early education across several towns including Dindigul, Vadamadurai, Melanatham Aanaikadu, and Chinnamanur in the Theni district. After completing his Pre-University Course at Alagappa College in Karaikudi, he enrolled at Pachaiyappa’s College in Chennai. However, he did not complete his college education.

Before entering the film industry, Rajesh worked as a teacher. He taught at St. Paul’s High School in Purasawalkam and later at Kellett Higher Secondary School in Triplicane between 1972 and 1979.

Journey into Cinema

Rajesh’s entry into films began with a small role in the critically acclaimed Aval Oru Thodar Kathai released in 1974. He got his first major break as a lead actor in Kanni Paruvathile released in 1979, produced by Rajkannu. His performances quickly garnered attention, and he soon worked with legendary filmmakers like K. Balachander, notably in Achamillai Achamillai.

Though he initially played lead roles, Rajesh later transitioned into powerful character roles, sharing screen space with icons like Kamal Haasan in notable films such as Sathya, Mahanadhi, and Virumaandi. His natural acting style, dignified screen presence, and adaptability across genres earned him praise from critics and audiences alike.

Tamil Actor Rajesh Passes Away at 75

Renowned Tamil actor Rajesh passed away in the early hours of May 28 due to respiratory complications. According to reports, he experienced severe breathing difficulty and tragically passed away while being rushed to the hospital. He was 75 years old.
