Rajisha Vijayan is an Indian Actress and Television Anchor, who mainly works in Malayalam alongside Tamil and Telugu Cinema. She made her first debut in Malayalam in 2016 with the film Anuraga Karikkin Vellam and bagged the Kerala State Film Award for best actress for her performance in the film. She is a notable actress for her best performances in the films such as Jai Bhim, Karnan, June, and Freedom Fight.

Personal Life

Rajisha Vijayan was born to Vijayan and Sheela in Perambra Calicut district, Kerala. After finishing her graduation from Amity University, Noida, the actress stepped into the Film Industry in 2016.

Career Life

With her strong passion for acting, Rajisha Vijayan came to the film industry in 2016. She made her first debut in Malayalam Cinema with the Anuraga Karikkin Vellam along with Asif Ali. Rajisha was noticed and shined with her stellar performance in the movie. In 2017, she won Kerala State Film Award for best actress for her performance in the film.

Later she acted in the films such as Georgettan`s Pooram, and Leo Thaddhevoos` Oru Cinemakkaran became box office bombs. In 2019, the diva played a lead role in the film 'June' directed by Ahammed Khabeer. Like a female-centric movie, portrayed the protagonist's life from childhood to adulthood. The film was well-received and the actress gained much appreciation for her performance in the film. After the success of June, she played a significant role in the average successful films like Stand Up, Finals, and Love. In 2020, the actress won Asianet Film Awards for Best Character Actress Category for the films like June, Finals, and Stand Up.

After getting much appreciation and fame in Malayalam, Rajisha also forayed into Tamil film with Karnan directed by Mari Selvaraj in which she played a lead role opposite Dhanush. The stunning performance of the actors in the film gained critical appreciation from critics and audiences alike. The film became a super hit and has acquired a total collection of Rs 61.8 crore from the worldwide box office.

In the year 2021, she acted in Surya's Jai Bhim Movie. The film was directed by Gnanavel and Produced by Surya's2D Entertainment. Based on a true story, the actress played a key role in the film along with Surya. The story and performances of the lead star cast in the film surprised the audiences and broke the box office collection. The film was also considered one of the best OTT releases of that year in Indian Cinema.

Acting prominent roles in successful movies in Tamil, then the actress made her debut in Telugu with the action drama Ramaraoa on Duty directed by Sarath Mandava in 2022. The actress appeared in a lead role alongside Ravi Teja, Divyansha Kaushik, Venu Thottempudi, and veteran actor Nasser. The film received poor reviews from the audience and flopped at the box office. In the same year, she acted in three Malayalam Films such as Freedom Fight, Keedam, and Malayankujhu. The films were well-received at the box office and the actress gained a critical appreciation for her performance.
