Shaam is a popular Tamil film actor and model. He made his acting debut in the 2001 film 12B and has since starred in several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including Lesa Lesa (2003), Iyarkai (2003), Ullam Ketkumae (2005), and Kick (2009). He has also worked in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films.

Persoanl Life

Shaam, whose real name is Shamshuddin Ibrahim, was born on April 4, 1977, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.  He has three brothers and two sisters and he is married to Kashish, a Punjabi who was his college mate. They have two daughters together. Shaam is a private person and does not share much about his personal life in public.

However, in some interviews, he has spoken about his family and his values. He has said that his wife is his biggest supporter and that he is grateful for her love and understanding. In 2020, Shaam was arrested for illegal gambling at his apartment in Chennai. However, he was later released on bail. He has not commented on the incident publicly.

Career Life

Shaam began his career as a model and made his acting debut in the Tamil film 12B (2001). He went on to appear in lead roles in critically and commercially successful films such as Lesa Lesa (2003), Iyarkai (2003), Ullam Ketkumae (2005), and Kick (2009). His early career was marked by his success in romantic comedies. He played charming and boyish characters in films such as 12B, Lesa Lesa, and Ullam Ketkumae. He also earned critical acclaim for his performance in the social drama Iyarkai, in which he played a man who is struggling to come to terms with his sexuality.

In 2009, Shaam made his Telugu debut with the film Kick. He played a no-nonsense cop in the film, which was a box-office success. Kick earned Shaam the nickname "Kick Shaam" and helped him establish himself as a leading actor in Telugu cinema. Shaam has continued to act in both Tamil and Telugu films in recent years. He has starred in films such as Race Gurram (2014), Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai, Oxygen, and many others.

After many years in the wilderness, he finally made his big comeback, sharing the screen with Thalapathy Vijay in his 2023 blockbuster, Varisu. His performance as Vijay's brother was critically acclaimed, earning rave reviews from both audiences and critics alike.
