Spandana Vijay Raghavendra Biography

Spandana Vijay Raghavendra was a Kannada producer and actress. She was the daughter of retired Assistant Commissioner of Police BK Shivaram and the wife of Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra. She had a son named Shourya. 

Background 

Spandana Vijay Raghavendra hails from a Tulu family in Bangalore, Karnataka. Her father, B.K. Shivaram, retired as an Assistant Commissioner of Police. She is the daughter-in-law of the renowned Sandalwood producer S. A. Chinne Gowda and Jayamma. Her brother-in-law, Sri Murali, is an actor, and her paternal aunt, Parvathamma Rajkumar, was a prominent figure in film production and distribution. Among her cousins are the well-known actors Shiva Rajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar, and Puneeth Rajkumar.

Personal Life

Spandana Vijay Raghavendra and Vijay Raghavendra form a beloved couple in the Kannada film industry. Their marriage has thrived for more than 15 years, blessed with a son. Their union began in 2004, leading to their wedding in 2007, and they are parents to a 12-year-old son named Shourya. Their partnership stands as an example, demonstrating that a prosperous marriage and successful careers are attainable while providing mutual support through all circumstances.

Career

Spandana made a notable appearance alongside her husband in Ravichandran's 2016 film "Apoorva." In 2018, she ventured into film production, backing the movie "Kismat," directed by her husband. This endeavor further cemented Spandana's reputation as a producer with a social conscience. Unafraid to tackle challenging subjects, she utilized her position to raise awareness about crucial social matters. 

Death

Spandana passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 44, due to a heart attack. She was on a vacation in Bangkok with her cousins and Vijay Raghavendra when she suffered the attack. Her body was brought back to Bengaluru and she was cremated on August 8th.
