Biography

Vichithra is an actress by profession. She showed her skills in four film industries-Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam- mostly in the 1990s. She rose to stardom through her films, like the critically acclaimed Rasigan and Ragasiya Police and the blockbuster Muthu . After a long hiatus, her name came to the spotlight after she participated in the popular Tamil television show Cook With Comali . Persoanl Life She was born Vichithra Williams on December 23, 1973, in Chennai, to Mary Vasantha and the actor Williams Vasantha. They are a six-member family; Vichithra has a brother and two sisters. She pursued her bachelor's degree in psychology. It was known that her father was murdered in a robbery case in September of 2011. She got married to Shaji and is settled in Pune now. She has also superannuated from the world of films. She is leading a simple life and being the face of the film industry. Career A breakthrough in her career was when she was offered a role in ‘ Thalaivasal ’. The film showcased her glamour, which turned stones for her. She played the character of Madippu Hamsa. After that, she signed many films as a supporting actress. Her performance was noticed mainly in the movies ‘Muthu’, ‘Suyamvaram’, and ‘Rasigan’. She made her debut through the movie ‘Chinna Thayee’, in 1992. She made a special appearance in the film Asthma', in 1993. After all these, she was offered roles in Veera, Villadhi Villian, Asuran, and ‘Ragasiya Police’, among others. She also has a career in the television industry, with a lead role in the theatrical show ‘Mami Chinna Mami’. Controversial Comments Vichitra made outspoken remarks about a leading actor in South Indian film industry, detailing the mistreatment she endured on the sets of a film. The unfortunate experiences during that particular movie led her to discontinue her involvement in films. Vichitra candidly recounted the incidents that transpired on the film sets during her appearance on the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7.
