Vijayalakshmi

Vijayalakshmi is popularly known as Viji in the Kannada industry. She has a sister called Usha, who is also a television serial actress. She is a very gritty personality. She had mentioned in many interviews that she is a fighter and wants to win in the battle of life always.

In June 2011, she filed a case against Tamil director Seeman. Vijayalakshmi has charged that, after promising to marry her, Seeman wanted to leave her. He has cheated by his false promises.

Acting Career:

Vijayalakshmi has acted in nearly 40 films in her career. She has acted in nearly 25 Kannada films. During her stint as an actress, she was recognized for her beauty, fitness and performance. She debuted in ace director T.S. Nagabrarana's film 'Nagamandala'. The first film of Vijayalakshmi was 'Nagamandala' based on folk tale opposite Prakash Rai, where she held herself in front of a great actor like Prakash Rai popularly known as Prakash Raj.

She was quite fearless and she made many enemies in her brief career span due to her nature. She also was a fearless person who loved to call a spade a spade and nothing else. She had taken to task two big stars like Jaggesh and B.C. Patil in Kannada films and proved that she is right in making attacking statements against them.

She acted in Tamil films such as Friends and Soori which were big hits. In Telugu, she was recognized from the movie Hanuman Junction. She had also acted in one Malayalam film. In 2010, again she acted in the super-hit Tamil movie Boss Engira Baskaran as a supporting actress.

Television:

She has also acted in quite a few Tamil television serials. She also was an anchor of a reality show Bangaarada Bete, produced by Radaan Media Works.
