Vishal Krishna Biography
Vishal Krishna (popularly known as Vishal) is a Tamil film actor and producer. The younger son of film producer G. K. Reddy. Reddy is a veteran Tamil & Telugu film producer, who was born in Andhra Pradesh but later shifted to Chennai. Vishal did his schooling at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School and secured a degree in Visual communication from Layola College, Chennai.
His elder brother, Vikram Krishna Reddy, who was formerly an actor under the name 'Ajay' and acted with Sivaji in Poo Parikka Varugirom, took off from where his father left and produced two films, Sandakozhi and Thimiru, starring Vishal. Vikram married Sriya Reddy who acted with Vishal in Thimiru. He also has a younger sister named Aishwarya.
Vishal worked as assistant to Arjun for the movies Vedham & Ezhumalai. Vishal made his acting debute through Gandhi Krishna's Chellamae, and the movie received very well. He had 3 back-to-back hits with Chellamae, Sandakozhi and Thimiru, which all became dubbed in Telugu.
Vishal was elected as the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam in October 2015 after initiating a movement against the previous committee. He was expelled from Tamil Film Producers' Council (TFPC) for remarks against the council. Later in April 2017, he won the election and got elected as President of Tamil Film Producers Council.
He made his television debut as a host of Sun Naam Oruvar (2018), a talk show airing on Sun TV.
