The Collector is a horror film, originally entitled The Midnight Man. A burglar (Josh Stewart) breaks into an empty house with the intention of robbing a safe. Unknown to him, a masked madman has already laid claim to the home, taken the family under siege, and filled the house with all sorts of lethal traps.
The burglar is faced with the moral dilemma of fleeing or saving the family. However, escaping proves to be much harder than he ever could have imagined. The 'mad man' toys with his mind leaving him with an emotional and physical battle.
