Parari Critics Review

filmibeat.com
KM Chaitanaya's debut film Aa Dinagalu was a sleeper hit, but his next Suryakanti became a dud at the Box Office. After taking a gap of three years, he is back with Parari, a comedy entertainer without a big star in the cast. Parari features Bullet Prakash, Shubha Poonja and new faces like Jahnavi Kamath, Shravanth Rao and Shrungha in the key roles.

Rangayana Raghu, Arun Sagar and Sharath Lohitashwa are also in the cast. Last but not least, Sadhu Kokila will be seen in a key role. So, these guys will give their best to bring laughter on your face. Chaitanaya's earlier movies dealt with strong and serious stories. But for the latest film, he has chosen a fun subject and a coming-of-age storyline. The film is about three guys, who tries to have some adventure but falls into trouble unknowingly and their struggle to come out of it, form the crux of the story. The title card appears with the song 'Kailasa kailuntu...' and Sadhu Kokila gives introduction to the lead characters.

Anantha (Shrungha), the son of rich businessman played by Rangayana Raghu, wants to commit suicide due to his repeated love failures. Every time he half-heartedly tries to take his life off, he changes his decision thinking of finding a new girl. Peede (Bullet Prakash) plays the role of a son to Umashri in the film. Every now and then, Umashri keeps wondering and worrying about the holes in her son's underwear. This raises funny debates between them every time they share screen space. Karan (Shravanth Rao) is a small character artist, who is in love with the TV actress played by Shuba Poonja.

The three boys, based on a suggestion given by a swami, decides to visit a place in Andhra Pradesh to have fun with woman. But their lives change once they visit the place and the real cat and mouse game begins from now. What happens to their lives? How they manage to come out of the troubles? Watch the film to get the answers for all these questions

KM Chaitanya has taken a different route this time and surprises you with his subject this time. The point that has to be noted is that the director has turned naughty this time with double entendre one-liners. More importantly, the 'Chaddi' dialogues mouthed by Bullet Prakash are all over the film.

KM Chaitanya, seriously, does not want to tell you a story but he has tried to break the funny bones throughout the film. The first half is engaging with funny moments and by the end of second half, he tries to give a twist to the story.

In the second half, we are told how three men along with two female leads find ways to escape from the troubles. The storyline is not strong but the narration makes it an engaging affair. The comedy scenes and well-written funny one-liners will remain biggest strength of the film. Not to forget the performances of the important characters.

Bullet Prakash is the real hero in the film and his friends played by newcomers Shravanth Rao and Shrungha have tried their best to prove their talent. Experienced actress Shubha Poonja is at her usual best but her exceeding weight would bother her fans. Jahnavi Kamath has a long way to go. Remaining characters like Arun Sagar and Rangayana Raghu make their presence felt in limited roles. Anoop Selin's three songs are good and HV Venu's cinematography is good.

Drawback: At parts, the comedy scenes fail to evoke laughter.

Verdict: Parari, as said by the makers of the film, is a rib-tickling entertainer. People could enjoy the film if they let go the logics.
