The Great Father Story

The Great Father is a Malayalam revenge thriller movie written and directed by debutant Haneef Adeni. The movie features Megastar Mammootty and Tamil actress Sneha in lead roles.

Mammootty essays the role of David Ninan, an underworld don from Mumbai. Tamil superstar Arya, who is also the co-producer of the movie, essays a key role in The Great Father.

Mammootty starrer The Great Father teaser set a new record in India by gaining 6 Million views in less than 74 hours, suppressing the previous best of Aamir Khan's Dangal, by becoming the fastest Indian movie teaser to cross 5 Million mark on Facebook.

The Great Father team has introduced 'cross posting' to Mollywood. Later, Mohanlal starrer 1971 Beyond Borders teaser also used 'cross posting' strategy .

Release Date:

Earlier, movie was planned for release on 25 December 2016, but the incomplete post production work delayed the release and the movie was pushed to March 30, 2017.
