Iraivan Story
Iraivan is a psychological action thriller film written and directed by I. Ahmed, with dialogue by Karthikeyan and Sachin. The film stars Jayam Ravi as a ruthless police officer who is trying to catch a psychopathic killer. Nayanthara plays the love interest of the protagonist, and Rahul Bose plays the ruthless Smiley Killer, who has the town in a state of panic. A stellar cast of renowned stars, including Ashish Vidhyarthi, Narain, Lachu Gram, Charle, Vinoth Kishan, Vijayalakshmi, Azhagam Perumal, Bagavathi Perumal, and many more, grace the silver screen in this cinematic masterpiece, produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram under the banner of Passion Studios. The music rights to this film have been acquired by Times Music and Junglee Music. Hari K. Vedantam's cinematography was a feast for the eyes, capturing the film's stunning visuals. Manikanda Balaji's editing was sharp and precise, keeping the pace of the film moving forward. Yuvan Shankar Raja's soundtracks and background music were electrifying, leaving audiences humming the tunes long after the film ended. Vivek's lyrics were poetic and insightful, while Sanjith Hegde and Khareeshma Ravichandran's soulful singing was simply breathtaking. Story In the dark heart of a bustling metropolis, a ruthless killer stalks the shadows, leaving a trail of bloodied bodies in his wake. A relentless police officer is tasked with hunting him down, but the killer is always one step ahead. As the body count rises, the city is gripped by fear. The police are baffled, and the public is in a panic. But one man is determined to stop the killer, no matter the cost. The police department is desperate to stop the killer's reign of terror, so they bring back their ace detective, Arjun, who is a relentless cop determined to bring the killer to justice. Arjun is a man on a mission; he shows no mercy to criminals, and he's not afraid to bend the rules to get his job done. With his sharp mind and unwavering determination, Arjun is the only one who can stop the killer before he strikes again. Arjun warned the department that he is not a hero. He's a cop, and he'll do whatever it takes to get the job done. But Brahma is no ordinary killer; he is intelligent, cunning, and always one step ahead of the law. As Arjun and Brahma engage in a deadly cat-and-mouse game, the stakes rise higher and higher. The film explores the dark side of human nature as Arjun faces his own inner demons in order to defeat the monster he's chasing. Release Date Iraivan, initially slated for August 25, 2023, has been pushed back to September 28, 2023, due to post-production delays. However, this new release date puts the film in a three-way clash with Raghava's Chandramukhi 2 and Siddharth's Chittha . Iraivan Collaboration Details Yuvan Shankar Raja's soulful melodies and stirring background score once again elevate a film by Ahmed, marking their second collaboration after Vaamanan (2009). The maestro also teams up with Jayam Ravi for the fifth time, following their critically acclaimed hits Daas (2005), Deepavali (2007), Thillalangadi (2010), and Ameerin Aadhi-Bhagavan (2013). This is also Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara's second collaboration, after the blockbuster Thani Oruvan (2015).
