Ankit Gupta Film Debut: Television sensation Ankit Gupta, who initially stepped into the acting arena with his debut role in Balika Vadhu back in 2012, has traversed a remarkable journey in his career. Today, he stands as one of the most prominent figures on the small screen. His notable appearances in shows such as Sadda Haq, Begusarai, and Kundali Bhagya, among others, have garnered him widespread recognition.

But, it was his portrayal of the lead character Fateh in the highly popular Colors show Udaariyaan, alongside Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, that truly catapulted him to stardom. Yet, it was Salman Khan's headline-grabbing reality show, Bigg Boss 16, that truly solidified his status as a household name. Throughout his time on the show, fans were charmed by his composed demeanor and his close friendship with fellow contestant and best friend, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.

Currently, Ankit can be seen in the role of Jahaan on Colors TV's Junooniyatt, where he shares the screen with Gautam Singh Vig and Neha Rana. For his current role too, the actor has been getting huge love and appreciation from the loyal viewers. For the musial drama, he's staying in Chandigarh ever since its premiere in February this year.

ANKIT GUPTA ON PUNJABI FILM DEBUT

As Ankit is in Chandigarh from the past few months, fans are wondering if he would like to try his luck in Punjabi film industry. In a recent interview, he opened up about his plans of making his Punjabi film debut and revealed that if a good opportunity comes, he'll surely do it.

In a recent interview with Ghaint Punjab, Ankit Gupta opened up about the same and said, "Usko leke plan toh abhi tak kuch ho nahi rahe hai. Kyunki, I think shayad pata nahi, kuch aisa aaya nahi abhi tak. Shayad logon ko lagta hoga abhi ye Junooniyatt mei busy hai toh kaha time de paenge. Toh shayad isliye kisine kuch pucha hi nahi ya bola hi nahi. Jab kuch aisa hoga toh definitely karenge. Mai kisiko janta hi nahi hu, mai kisko bolu ki mujhe Punjabi filmein kara do."

On being asked if there are more projects in the pipeline besides Junooniyatt, the TV star revealed that nothing is finalised yet.
