days agoReportUdhayam NH4 opens with a scene where group of friends are planning to kidnap a girl from Bangalore .From there on the screenplay is simple, steady and stuck to the point which is the major strength of the film. The characterizations are pucca, be it the Kay Kay menon character or Siddharth’s friends everything is detailed and laudable. Another novel idea in the screenplay is that director has never shown Kay Kay menon’s wife and their conversations are only through phone but it is interesting. Even the climax portion is open and novel. Siddharth is adequate and has tried some action scenes which are laudable. Ashirta Shetty looks cute and bubbly as like any other commercial film heroine, Udhayam Nh4 is technically sound, especially the VFX work in title card grabs our attention. Velraj’s cinematography is stylish especially the pub scenes are slick and captured the poetic beauty of Bangalore. Kishore’s editing is fast and crisp which is very much essential for a entertainer. GV Prakash has once again done a great job with his BGM and also with the songs. Vetrimaran has done his paper work in story and screenplay but it is director Manimaran who successfully portrayed it on screen and his way of extracting work from the cast is laudable. Though Udhayam is interesting, it has its own negatives like logic loopholes here and there.
