Seemashastri Story

Seemashastri is a comedy tale movie directed by G.Nageshwar Reddy. Subramanyam Sastri (Allari Naresh) falls in love with Surekha Reddy (Farzana) who lives with her relatives in Hyderabad. After falling in love Sastri gets to know that Surekha Reddy belongs to a popular factionist family in Rayala Seema. The rest of the story is all about how Subramanyam and his family members convince the factionist for the marriage in a humorous way.

Several Telugu films came out with faction backdrop. All of them have powerful dialogues, heavy blasts, bloodshed and big Heroes. Almost all the Telugu top stars showed interested in doing film with faction backdrop and films like 'Indra' (Chiranjeevi), 'Aadi' (NTR), Chennakesava Reddy and Narasimha Naidu (Balakrishna), Jayam Manade (Venkatesh) were proved blockbusters.

However, none of the small and upcoming Heroes dared to touch the subject. Director Nageswara Reddy, who is known for bringing Goodcomedy flicks, prepared a love story with faction backdrop and attempted to show factionism in a comical way. He chose a comedy character's name 'Seema Sastry' created in 'Chennakesava Reddy' as the title of the film. However, he forgot that a factionist will never drop his hunting sickle for the sake of sentiment and love. He tried to overcome the logic but miserably failed.
