Villains are the film's main source of success because when a villain character holds the attention of the audience, the film's excitement naturally increases. From M. R. Radha to Raghuvaran, a slew of villains helped propel Tamil cinema to stardom. Most villains today seem funnier and cringe-ending, yet in some of the films that were effective, we have seen some baddies who dominated the hero with their incredible effectiveness. Look at the chief villains in Tamil cinema who dominated the entire frame.

Rolex

Rolex starred in the film only for 5 minutes, but he took the entire credit. When moviegoers leave the theatres, they only remember Rolex's character and fail to recognise the other three stars, who were completely responsible for keeping the whole thing exciting. His appearance and unusual mannerisms surprised the crowd and added an extra level of excitement to the movie.

Thani Oruvan

Siddharth Abhimanyu

Even though Mithran believes Sidharth to be the most terrible person on his list of people to eliminate, he is unable to intervene. The success of this movie was due to Mithran's ideas and moves, which Sidharth consistently evaluated. The audience as a whole became fascinated with Sidharth Abhimanyu during the climactic scenario. Aravind Saamy, a renowned actor, had his best comeback ever with this.

Master

Bhavani
3

JD is a nasty alcoholic, but Bhavani is a tea-tottering beast. The major triumph of this movie was Bhavani's backstory, which led us to feel that he could kill anybody with his fist. Even though Thalapathy Vijay is the best actor, VJS only garnered a great deal of fan attention and recognition for his unassuming portrayal.

Vikram Vedha

Vikram Vedha

4

Vedha and Vikram were both serial assassins, although their ways of execution were distinct. Vedha is rowdy, and Vikram is suited in a uniform. The mysteries within the department were meticulously discovered and explained in a storylike manner, increasing interest in this film. VJS, who is renowned for his modest portrayals, played the villain without fail in this movie.

SJ Surriya started out as a filmmaker before moving on to acting. But in these two movies, he showed off his distinct brand of villainy and stole Simbu and Mahesh Babu's credit for the entire movie. Although STR made one of the greatest comebacks ever, SJ's attractiveness as a villain helped boost the show's popularity.

Irumbu Thirai

White Devil

Arjun the White Devil played with Major Kathiravan, a furious man who had everything at stake in a financial mess, by taking money from his account. The audience was kept on the edge of their seats until the conclusion, when he revealed the blunders that each person makes when applying for app permission. The success of this movie is due to the White Devil's pure evilness and the fear and pain he inflicts on Vishal.

Martin

Martin brutally frightened the audience by portraying the evil Ruthra. But when he ultimately revealed his motivation, it greatly increased respect for him. Everyone believed Rudhra to be a horrible guy until he revealed the truth about who he actually was.

Yennai Arindhaal

Yennai Arindhaal

Arun Vijay is a reasonable actor in the Tamil film business. He becomes famous as a hero as a result of his father's influence, but it took a lot of hard work to keep him going. The Victor character and appearance in Yennai Arindhal, on the other hand, transformed him into a new hero, and we can clearly distinguish between the movies before and after this Victor character because it was so powerfully against the Thala, who received a lot of praise from the audience.

Ghilli

Ghilli

Muthupaandi
9

Even though Ghilli was Vijay's breakthrough film, Prakash Raj and Vijay both earned equal credit for the movie because Muthupandi's character was still endearing to the Kollywood audience. He never touched or scolded Dhanalakshmi (Trisha), and he carries out everything only out of pure love for her. However, Dhanalakshmi failed in her view and took the incorrect course of action. Still, Muthupandi love lives in the hearts of Kollywood fans. #justice_for_muthupandi

Arundhati

Pasupathi
10

Both the original Disturbing Guy and the more recent Pasupathi iteration were fostered by "Sonu Sood" as pakka baddie. Anushka Shetty did a wonderful job with her portrayal of Arundhati and Jejamma, but it was his performance that really stood out and stole the show.

Mankatha

Special Mention: Vinayak Mahadev
11

Vinayak Mahadev cannot be ignored while discussing villains. From one frame to the next, his demeanour changed. Although Yuvan composed many drugs and Thala delivered a variety of films, the Mankatha theme and Thala's look were unmatched in the Tamil film industry.
