Prithviraj has showcased his versatility by portraying various real-life characters on screen. He played the role of Moideen, depicting the tragic love story of Moideen and Kanchanamala, which is based on true events. The movie beautifully depicted their tragic love story, and Prithviraj's portrayal of Moideen was remarkably authentic and effortless. He also  played the lead role in the movie 'Celluloid' is one of the best bio-pics ever made in Malayalam. In the movie, he appears in two different looks for two different phases of J.C. Daniel's life. Prithviraj looks and acts convincingly for such a demanding character. Prithviraj's aging look was very realistic so was his acting as a bed-ridden old man.

Based on the life of Pazhassi Raja, a Hindu king who fought against the British in the 18th century, the film brought back MT Vasudevan Nair and Mammootty after their Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, which is still considered a landmark in Malayalam cinema. He also played a another titular role in the film "Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar," portraying the life journey of the influential figure responsible for shaping India's Constitution. Directed by Jabbar Patel and supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment along with the Government of Maharashtra, the film compellingly depicts Babasaheb Ambedkar's life. Mammootty's performance was so compelling that it won him a third National Award for the role.

Jayasurya stands as one of the industry's most distinguished actors, renowned for his remarkable portrayals of real-life characters on the big screen. His portrayals of the struggles, triumphs, and complexities of people from all backgrounds always leave an intense emotional impression on the spectators. Jayasurya who played a lead role in the movie 'Captian'  based on the real-life of footballer VP Sathyan. Released in 2018, the actor received huge applause for his spellbinding performance in the movie. For his outstanding performance in the movie he recieved a Kerala Film fare awards for best actor.  

Apart from this, Jayasurya delivers another standout performance, portraying the complex character of an alcoholic in the movie 'Vellam'. The  film id based on a real-life story of Murali Kunnumpurath, who battled alcohol addiction. The movie delves into the struggles and challenges faced by the protagonist due to his addiction, portraying the impact it has on his personal and professional life.

The movie centers on Kochauvva, known for his willingness to assist anyone in need. When a child enters his life, the narrative unfolds around the profound impact and significant changes the child brings about. Apart from Kunchacko Boban, the movie features Anusree, Aju Varghese, and Nedumudi Venu in the key roles.
