With the rapid rise of OTT platforms, the way audiences consume Tamil cinema has dramatically changed. Many fans now prefer the convenience of streaming movies from home, leading to a noticeable drop in theatre footfalls. As a result, most theatrical releases find their way to OTT platforms shortly after hitting the big screen a welcome shift for digital viewers.However, despite this trend, several blockbuster films featuring Tamil cinema’s biggest stars including Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith, and Dhanush remain notably absent from any OTT platform. These fan favorite films, for various reasons, are yet to make their digital debut.
