Sooraj
Pancholi
is
a
free
man
now
and
he
couldn't
be
anymore
happier.
After
being
the
alleged
main
accused
in
Jiah
Khan's
death
case
for
almost
a
decade,
the
Hero
actor
has
been
acquitted
in
the
case
by
the
special
CBI
court.
The
verdict,
undoubtedly,
came
as
a
massive
relief
for
Sooraj
Pancholi.
And
now,
in
his
first
interview
post
acquittal,
Sooraj
remembered
Jiah
and
opened
up
about
her
troubled
life.
Talking
to
the
Bombay
Times,
Sooraj
called
the
late
actress
a
beautiful
girl
and
a
wonderful
person
who
just
needed
love
in
life.
He
recalled
how
they
became
friends
a
year
after
he
had
sent
a
request
to
her
on
Facebook.
"I
was
in
a
relationship
with
Jiah
for
only
five
months
and
I
didn't
know
the
magnitude
of
what
she
was
going
through.
She
needed
love
not
from
her
boyfriend,
but
her
family
too," he
added.
Sooraj
further
stated
that
Jiah
had
a
lot
of
pressure
to
support
her
family
and
wasn't
getting
the
kind
of
work
that
could
help
her
with
the
same.
He
also
emphasised
that
he
was
in
a
relationship
with
Jiah
for
five
months
and
though
he
didn't
understand
the
gravity
of
the
situation
back
then
at
the
age
of
20,
he
did
inform
Jiah's
mother
Rabia
Khan
about
the
late
actress'
depression.
However,
Sooraj
claimed
that
Rabia
didn't
show
up
for
months
despite
informing
her
about
how
Jiah
tried
to
slit
her
hand.
"I
was
there
for
her
and
during
that
time,
we
fell
in
love.
She
was
a
wonderful
person
but
my
love
for
her
wasn't
enough.
She
needed
familial
love," Sooraj
was
quoted
as
saying.
This
isn't
all.
The
actor
also
reacted
to
Rabia's
claims
of
calling
Jiah's
demise
a
murder
and
said,
"This
is
no
longer
about
justice
but
harassment.
I
just
want
her
to
leave
me
alone.
There
is
no
revenge
to
take
from
me.
I
have
done
nothing
wrong.
The
mother
just
wants
to
take
the
guilt
off
her
shoulders
and
put
it
on
someone
else".
