Four National Awards for Kannada

The 54th National Film Awards was announced in New Delhi. Kannada film industry has bagged four National awards.

Kaada Beladingalu produced by Bengalooru Company and directed by B. S. Lingadevaru has got the Best Regional Kannada film award, T.S Nagabharana directed movie Kallarali Hoovagi has got the Best film National Integration and the Wonder boy Master Kishan directed movie Care of Footpath has got the best Children film award. Anand P Raju directed movie Koti Chennaia has got the Best regional film for Tulu.

Kaada Beladingalu is produced by editor K.M. Veeresh, B.S. Lingadevaru, K.N.Siddalingaiah, Vagdevi, Lokanath, Jana, and Selvam. Kaada Beladingalu is the first attempt of the team which has set larger goals to achieve. The people involved in the team would bring in their creative contributions to support the ventures.

Mungaru Male, Duniya, Cyanide, Masanadha Makkalu, Ondu Preethiya Kathe, Chaitra, Janapada, Savira Metilu were the other Kannada films which took part in the competition.

For T.S. Nagabharana, this is the third time that he has got National Integration award. Earlier he had got for Grahana and Santha Shisunala Sharifa.
