The
screening
of
the
National
award
winner
movie
Adaminte
Makan
Abu
has
been
banned
by
a
court
in
Kerala.
Last
week,
producer
Ashraf
Bedi
had
lodged
a
complaint
against
director
Salim
Ahmmed
for
sending
the
movie
to
the
National
Film
Award
Committee
for
the
award
without
mentioning
his
name
as
a
producer.
In
his
complaint,
Ashraf
Bedi
had
claimed
that
his
name
was
excluded
in
the
documents,
which
were
submitted
to
the
National
Film
Award
Committee.
After
hearing
his
case,
a
judge
at
the
Calicut
Court
has
granted
an
interim
stay
order
against
the
screening
and
distribution
of
the
film
Adaminte
Makan
Abu.
However,
the
Malayalam
film
is
a
thought-provoking
portrayal
of
a
man's
search
for
a
religious
identity.
Adaminte
Makan
Abu
has
bagged
eight
National
and
State
film
awards.
Hero
Salim
Kumar
has
been
adjudged
as
the
Best
Actor
at
both
National
and
State
film
awards.
