Manju Warrier's Aami: First Look Poster Is Out

Manju Warrier, the star actress is all set to play legendary writer Kamala Surayya aka Madhavikutty in the upcoming biopic Aami, directed by Kamal. The team recently revealed the official first look poster of the movie.

The promising first look poster features Manju Warrier in the get-up of the young Madhavikutty. The actress sports the look of the writer, with traditional silk saree, long hair, oversized spectacles, and big stone nose pin.

Manju Warrier, who released the poster through her Facebook page, states that it is not easy to enact the role of Madhavikutty. The actress hopes that she would be able to do justice to the role with the guidance of her director, Kamal.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was initially roped in, to essay the role of Kamala Surayya in Aami. But Vidya backed out from the project at the last minute, citing creative differences with director Kamal as the reason.

Kamal, who addressed the media post the pooja ceremony of the movie, stated that he is highly excited about the project. The director is extremely confident that Manju Warrier can do total justice to the role of Madhavikutty.

Aami will feature Prithviraj, Murali Gopy, Anoop Menon, KPAC Lalitha, Indrans, etc., in the supporting roles. Madhu Neelakandan is the director of photography. Aami is jointly produced by Raphel P Thomas and Roban Rocha.
