Imlie Third Generation Update: Produced by 4 Lions Films under Gul Khan's guidance, Imlie made its debut on Star Plus in 2020. The lead roles of Imlie and Aditya were portrayed by Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani, respectively. Right from its inception, the series garnered remarkable viewership, rapidly establishing itself as a beloved show on the channel.
As the narrative unfolded, a fresh storyline emerged, introducing Fahmaan Khan as the new male lead, Aryan, opposite Imlie (Sumbul). As the episodes played out, fans were enchanted by their compelling on-screen chemistry, affectionately coining terms like 'AryLie' or 'SuMaan' to describe their connection.

As the second generation has been entertaining fans from the past one year, the makers of Imlie have decided for another significant shift- a third season. Yes, you've heard it correctly! As reported earlier, current leads Megha Chakraborty and Karan Vohra are confirmed to bid adieu to the popular show and Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy are likely to lead Imlie 3.
KARAN VOHRA PRAISES SUMBUL TOUQEER KHAN & FAHMAAN KHAN
While the makers are yet to make Sai and Arija's casting official, Karan Vohra opened up about the leap in Imlie and praised former leads Sumbul and Fahmaan. Talking to Tellychakkar about the speculations of Sai and Adrija bagging the lead roles in the third season, Karan told Tellychakkar, "Agar ye dono log, Sai and Adrija, if they're doing it, I just want to wish them all the best. Jab hum log ne entry kari thi, Fahmaan and Sumbul, unka exit hua tha. They were there. Un logon ne benchmark set kara tha show mei, it was a pressure on us as performers, you know. Uss batton ko hum aage leke jae. Mai ye hi chahunga Sai and Adrija se ki ye ek batton hai, ye unko hum thamaate hai aur aap leke jaeiye and continue the show, as long as it runs."
