Born as Vishal Veeru Devgn to Veeru Devgn and Veena Devgn in Delhi. The actor changed his name to Ajay Devgn for his on-screen entry.His father Veeru Devgn is a popular stunt master and his mother Veena Devgn is a film producer in Bollywood Industry.Ajay Devgan has two sisters Neelam and Kavita and a cousin brother Anil Devgn, who died at the age of 51.
After completing his graduation from Mithibai College in Mumbai, the actor entered the Bollywood film Industry. The actor married popular Bollywood actress Kajol in 1999 and the couple is blessed with two children.

Ajay Devgn started his acting career as a child artist in the film 'Bapu's Pyari Behna'in 1985.In this film, the actor portrayed the childhood character of Mithun Chakraborty role. In 1991, he acted in the film'Phool Aur Kantee', the film was a super hit, and the actor won his first Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
