Anshul Sharma Biography

Anshul Sharma hails from Sundernagar in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh. He completed his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering before choosing to follow his true passion — filmmaking. Despite having a technical educational background, Anshul was always drawn to storytelling and cinema, which eventually led him to move to Mumbai.


Entry Into Films

After shifting to Mumbai, Anshul began his journey by working as an assistant and associate director. Early in his career, he gained experience on several notable film sets and worked under respected Bollywood filmmakers. His background in cinematography, production, and direction gave him a strong technical foundation and helped shape his filmmaking style.


Directorial Debut

Anshul Sharma made his independent directorial debut with the satire “Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga” (2013) starring Sanjay Mishra. The film humorously highlighted the struggles of India’s middle class and showcased Anshul’s ability to blend social themes with relatable storytelling. His debut earned appreciation for its concept and grounded narrative.


Rise in Bollywood

Over the years, Anshul continued building his career through a mix of independent projects and mainstream collaborations. His storytelling approach — combining emotions, humor, and realism — gained recognition within the industry.











He took a major step forward with the upcoming film “De De Pyaar De 2” (2025), marking his entry into larger commercial Bollywood projects. This film is considered a significant milestone, positioning him as a promising director in mainstream cinema.
