Antara Biswas

Antara Biswas (aka Monalisa) is better known by her stage name Monalisa, is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Hindi and Bhojpuri movies. She has primarily worked in Bhojpuri language films, but she has also done work in Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu films. She participated in season 10 of Bigg Boss in India and is best known for playing Mohana Rathod in the film Nazar. She portrayed Iravati Verma, the show's primary antagonist, on Colours TV from 2020 to 2021.

Personal Life

Antara Biswas was born to a Bengali Hindu family on 21 November 1982. She took on the stage name Monalisa at her uncle's request. She attended Julien Day School on South Kolkata's Elgin Road and later earned a BA in Sanskrit from Ashutosh College of the University of Calcutta. A few years ago, she began working as a part-time TV actress and a model for Odia video albums.

Career

Before making her Bollywood acting debut in Blackmail, a low-budget movie starring Ajay Devgn and Suniel Shetty, she appeared in a number of low-budget films. She later appeared in South Indian films before getting noticed for her portrayal alongside Amin Gazi in Tauba Tauba. She appeared in the Kannada movie Jackpot.
2010's Monalisa

According to a 2010 The Hindu article, Monalisa and Rinku Ghosh were the two most in-demand actresses in the Bhojpuri film industry. She and her spouse, Vikrant Singh Rajpoot, featured in the February 2022 episode of Smart Jodi on Star Plus.[Reference needed] She will play Rama in the sitcom Favvara Chowk: Indore Ki Shaan on Dangal TV in December 2022.
