Kangna Ranaut is an Indian Film actress, filmmaker, and Producer who mainly works in Bolly Film Industry. She is prominent for women-centric roles in movies like Queen, Manu weds Tanu, and Fashion. Kangana is one of the leading actresses and is the top-paid actress in the Indian Film Industry.

 

 Personal Life

 

Kangana Amardeep Ranaut also known as Kangana Ranaut was born and raised in Bhambala, a small town in the Mandi district in the State of Himachal Pradesh. Born into a Rajput family, her father Amardeep Ranaut is a businessman and her mother Asha Ranaut is a teacher. Kangana has two siblings, an elder sister Rangoli works as her manager. And her younger brother Akshat. 

 

She completed her schooling at D.A.V.School in Chandigarh. Her family had the wish to send her to medical studies, but the actress went to Delhi to accomplish her dream as an actress. Later, she joined Modeling and came into the film industry.

 

Career Life

 

Kangana started her acting career in 2005. The actress made her first debut in the Bollywood industry with the Film Gangster-A Love Story 'directed by Anurag Basu in 2006. The actress appeared in the lead role and received criticism for her performance in this film. It became a major success at the box office, and  Kangana won the Filmfare award for her female debut in the same year.

 

 From there, she acted in several films like Woh Lamhe(2006), Life in a Metro(2007), Fashion(2008), Raaz:The Mystery Continues(2009), and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai(2010). Apart from doing emotionally sensitive and neurotic roles, the actress showcased her talent in women-centric and comedy thriller movies. Films like 'Tanu Weds Manu'(2011), 'Queen'(2014), and 'Tanu Weds Manu: Returns (2015) came under the list.

 

To do experiments in her acting life she made her debut in a negative role in the Scientific Fiction Film Krrish-3 (2013). The film was successful and came under the highest-grosser Indian movies list. Kangana faced failures and criticism in her acting career life. However, by acting as prominent and memorable characters in her 15 years career life, she established herself as a successful actress in Indian Cinema. Also known as a Bollywood Queen, she bagged 67the National Award for Best Actress category for her performance in the films Manikarnika(2019) and Pang(2020)

 

Production 

 

In 2020, the actress launched her own production house'Manikarnika Films'.

Kangana Ranaut, is now busy with her first debut as a director with the film'Emergency'.
