Kavin

Kavin is a multitalented star who has made a name for himself in both the Tamil film and television industries. He started his career on television, where he starred in the popular series Saravanan Meenatchi-2. He then made the transition to film, and his roles in Lift and Dada solidified his status as a rising star in Kollywood.

Personal Life

Kavin was born to Pradeep Raj and Mary on June 22, 1990, in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. He received his early education from a local school in Trichy before moving to Chennai to pursue a B.S.C. Chemistry degree at Loyola College.

Televison Career

Kavin's television career began with a bang in 2011, when he was cast in the Star Vijay serial Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. He played the role of Shiva in the college version of the serial, and his performance was so well-received that he was quickly cast in the role of Murugan in the serial Saravanan Meenatchi.

Kavin's star continued to rise when he was cast in the lead role of Vettaiyan aka Saravana Perumal, in the sequel to the serial Saravanan Meenatchi. His performance in this role was nothing short of iconic, and it earned him wide popularity across Tamil Nadu. In 2015, Kavin's star power was further cemented when he co-hosted the Vijay Television Awards.

Bigg Boss: Season 3

Kavin's Bigg Boss stint was a smash hit. He finished third in the competition, but his decision to walk out of the house with a Rs. 5 lakh offer only added to his popularity. His "We Are The Boys" gang was a fan favourite, and the season is still considered one of the best in Bigg Boss Tamil history.

Career

Kavin made his acting debut in a supporting role in the film Sathriyan, where he shared the screen with Aishwarya Dutta. He then starred in the lead role in the Tamil film Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma, which was critically acclaimed for his flawless portrayal. However, the film did not garner much attention from Kollywood fans. Prior to these films, he appeared in small, insignificant roles in Karthik Subbaraj's Pizza (2012) and Ravikumar's Indru Netru Naalai (2015).

In 2021, he played the role of an IT professional in the horror thriller Lift, which was aired on Disney+ Hotstar. He received critical acclaim for his performance and his transformation into a more elegant actor. He was offered many roles after this, but he turned them down, waiting for the right project to take his career to the next level.

A year later, he collaborated with debutant Ganesh K. Babu to create the sensational romantic comedy drama film Dada, in which he starred alongside Aparna Das. The film was released in 2023 and was a critical and commercial success. Kavin became a sensation in the Kollywood industry, gathering a large young fanbase.

Kavin Marriage

Kavin is all set to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Monica, on August 20, 2023. The wedding will be an intimate affair attended by close family members and friends.
