Biography

Mahesh Kathi is an Indian film actor, writer, director and film critic, known primarily for his work in Telugu cinema Career Mahesh started his career with Edari Varsham based on Devarakonda Balagangadhara Tilak's story Vooru Chivuru Illu which was the first crowd funded short film in Telugu. Mahesh was the writer for the film Minugurulu as the “First Telugu script to be preserved in Oscar Library‘s permanent core collection” and the first Telugu film that contended for the Academy Awards' best feature n 2014. His film reviews in the Telugu channel 10TV were controversial. He used flowcam technology popularized by Ram Gopal Varma and that led to the 2015 romantic comedy film Pesarattu. He played a role in the cult hit Hrudaya Kaleyam. Bigg Boss Telugu Mahesh participated as one of the contestants in Bigg Boss Telugu season 1 but he evicted on day 27 from Bigg Boss house. Death On June 25, 2021 Mahesh met with an accident on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway in Kodavalur in the outskirts of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. He was returning to Hyderabad from his hometown in Chittoor district. He passed away while undergoing treatment in Chennai Apollo hospital on July 10, 2021.
