Mamitha Baiju

Mamitha Baiju is an actress, model, and classical dancer primarily active in the Malayalam film industry. She made her acting debut in 2017 with 'Sarvopari Palakkaran,' it was her captivating performance in the 2021 movie 'Kho Kho' that garnered her widespread acclaim. Notable among her other performances are roles in 'Operation Java,'  'Super Saranya,' and 'Premalu.'

Personal Life
Born in Kottayam, Kerala, Mamitha Baiju completed her schooling at Mary Mount Public School, Kattachira, and N.S.S. Higher Secondary School, Kidangoor. Currently, she is pursuing a B.Sc in Psychology at Sacred Heart College in Kochi. Mamitha's father, Baiju Krishnan, is a professional doctor, while her mother, Mini, is a homemaker. She has an elder brother named Midhun.

Career Life
After establishing herself in the modeling industry, Mamitha transitioned into acting in 2017 with her debut in 'Sarvopari Palakkaran.' She then secured a lead role in 'Operation Java,' directed by Tharun Moorthy. However, it was her remarkable performance in 'Kho Kho' that propelled her to stardom. Her portrayal of the humorous and carefree student character 'Sona' in 'Super Sharanaya' earned widespread acclaim as one of her finest on-screen performances. Additionally, Mamitha's collaboration with actor Arjun Asokan in the romantic comedy 'Pranayavilasam' was celebrated as one of the best rom-com dramas of 2023. Further demonstrating her versatility, she also took on a lead role in Nivin Pauly's action-comedy drama 'Ramachandra Boss & Co.'

'Premalu' stands out as another successful venture for the actress, directed by A.D. Gireesh. Featuring Mamitha Baiju and Naslen G Gafoor in the lead roles, the film emerged as one of the best rom-com Malayalam movies in recent memory. Upon its release in 2024, 'Premalu' surpassed the Rs. 85 crore mark within 25 days, solidifying its success at the box office.

Expanding her career beyond Malayalam cinema, Mamitha ventured into Tamil films with her debut in 'Rebel,' directed by newcomer Nikesh RS. Mamitha Baiju leads the cast in this film. Scheduled for release on March 22, 2024, 'Rebel' aspires to establish its presence in the Tamil film industry. Furthermore, she is set to portray the female lead in Vishnu Vishal's forthcoming film, directed by Ramkumar. Billed as a romantic and emotional tale, this movie promises to captivate audiences with its heartfelt narrative.
