Manav Kaul is an Indian theatre director, playwright, actor and filmmaker. He was nominated at 63rd Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his film Tumhari Sulu (2017).
Manav was born in 1974, in Baramulla (J&K). He started the theatre group ‘Aranya’ in 2004, and has written and directed Shakkar ke Paanch Daane, Peele Scooterwala Aadmi, Bali Aur Shambhu, Ilhaam, Aisa Kehte Hain, Shabd Sangeet and Park.
He has also worked as an actor with theatre directors like Satyadev Dubey, Sunil Shanbag, Alok Chatterjee, etc. His debut film Hansa has received accolades at film festivals.
