Naveen Polishetty Biography

Naveen Polishetty is an Indian film and television actor who has appeared in Telugu and Hindi-language films. He was honoured with the Digitial Hash Award, SIIMA Awards, and Telugu Zee Cine Awards.

Naveen began his career as a software engineer before switching to acting in theatre, where he met Sekhar Kammula and was given a supporting role in the movie Life Is Beautiful.Later, he performed in a few small roles, such as Nenokkadine with Mahesh Babu.

In the commercial hit, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, Naveen portrayed the lone hero. He received a lot of praise and appreciation from the non-core public for his performance as Sushant Singh Rajput's friend in Chhichhore in 2019.

Personal Life

He joined a software company in Pune after receiving his civil engineering degree at the Maulana Azad National Institute. Later, he transferred to England to work as an engineer, but he was dissatisfied there.

In order to pursue a full-time acting career, he later quietly travelled back to India without telling his parents and set up residence in Mumbai by renting a home and working a few part-time jobs. He began his career in the performing arts and appeared in various plays.

Career

As Polishetty's following Telugu films were either stalled or substituted by other actors after the release of Life Is Beautiful in 2012 and Nenokkadine in 2014, he transitioned to theatre and stand-up comedy.

Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, a comedy-thriller that Polishetty co-wrote and starred in, marked his return to Telugu cinema in 2019. Zee Cine Awards Telugu - Best New Actor of the Year went to him for the movie. Then, in Nitesh Tiwari's Chhichhore, he made his Hindi film debut. At the box office, both movies did incredibly well.
