Nithilan Swaminathan is a Indian filmmaker known for his works in Tamil Cinema. He made his directorial debut in 2017 with 'Kurangu Bommai'. Regarded as the face of new wave Tamil cinema, Nithilan has worked with many big stars and directors in the industry.
Career Life
He started his film career as a director in the 2017 release 'Kurangu Bommai' starred Vidharth, Bharathi Raja and Kalki in the prominent roles. The script was penned down by the director himself and the dialogues by Madonne Ashwin. Kannada Music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath composed music for the film had received good responses from the audience. After success of his debut movie, Nithilan announced his second directorial debut titled 'Maharaj' in 2023. Starring Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role, the film marked the came back of the director to the showbiz after the five years of gap. Billed as an action drama, Maharaja is the 50th project of actor Vijay Sethupathi. The film produced by Passion Studios, also featured Bollywood actor Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas and Natty Natraj in the key roles.
